Jason has 27 years of financial experience across diverse business sectors.  After completing accounting articles, he travelled to the UK and joined Unilever’s Head office in London, a global FMCG.  Part of that role encompassed consolidations of global Unilever results presented to the CFO and investor relations teams.  It was while at the Unilever London head office, that Jason began his passionate journey relating to people and people empowerment.  Jason was instrumental in developing a globally adopted Mentor/Coaching program aimed at understanding and developing human capital.

In 2005 Jason returned to South Africa to the Unilever South Africa business, where he managed the financial reporting for various brand categories. This gave Jason the opportunity to engage in cross-functional areas of customer sales, marketing, supply chain, and factory finance. Jason also honed his project management skills by leading a globally mandated review of trading terms.

Post his Unilever career, Jason has performed the duties of Financial Director of Digital Marketing and Manufacturing businesses.

He joined the Caleo Capital group, which includes Verum Capital, in November 2020, managing the full finance function. He has also brought with him his life coaching skills to the team to endeavour to help those achieve the best versions of themselves in their professional careers.

2023 will see Jason move to Verum Capital full-time as Finance Director and Chief of Staff.
